Testimony

“24 Who Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that having died to sin, we might live to righteousness; by His WOUNDS YOU WERE HEALED. 25 For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.”

–        1 Peter 2:24-25

Saved as a freshman college student through repeated gospel presentations and bible Q&A’s by dear brothers at TBC.  It was during this time that I truly realized that I had lived my entire life in complete disobedience against God and that His wrath was against me because of my sin.  I was convicted and distraught over my sin against God and cried out to God for forgiveness like the dying man that I was.  Then I at last understood from the scriptures that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was the only way that a hopelessly wicked sinner like me could be reconciled to God.  I clung to Christ, believed that He died the death I should have died, and trusted in His perfect righteousness alone over me.  Since then, I have known the unceasing joy of being saved and made one with God in Christ, of being adopted into the family of God at TBC as a fellow heir and son of God, and of knowing the love of God and loving God through the Spirit of God working through my redeemed life.

Family

Happily married to my beautiful wife, Thao since September 2019 and now with our daughter Chloe.

Favorite Verse

2 Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials,

3 knowing that the testing of your faith brings about perseverance.

4 And let perseverance have its perfect work, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

James 1:2-5
